Editorial policy
Our guidance is only useful if you can trust it. Here is how we produce and maintain it.
Who writes our content
Articles and tools are produced by the QCV Editorial Team — writers and reviewers who work on motoring, finance and consumer topics. Where a guide touches on money decisions, a second reviewer checks the figures and reasoning before it is published.
How we research
We base guidance on established consumer-finance principles, published market behaviour and the real questions car owners ask. Calculators use transparent, documented formulas rather than opaque scoring; the full model is on our methodology page.
Accuracy and corrections
We aim to be accurate and clear, and we would rather fix a mistake than defend it. If you spot an error, tell us through the contact page and we will review and correct it promptly.
Independence
Advertising and partnerships never shape our tools or recommendations. We do not accept payment to rank a product, lender or dealer favourably, and our calculator results are identical for every visitor.
Keeping content current
Markets shift — interest rates move, and depreciation patterns change as technology like EVs matures. We review our most-used guides and calculator assumptions periodically and note material updates so you always see current guidance.
